Job summary

The University of Sydney invites applications for a Research Fellow/Program Manager (Level B/C) to support a major translational radiotherapy project based at the South Eveleigh Biomedical Building in the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

This four-year, full-time fixed-term role involves leading the program, governance, and coordination with investigators and clinical partners to deliver scalable, low-cost radiotherapy and imaging innovations that improve cancer outcomes and reduce inequities.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., Medical Physics, Radiology, CS, Physics, Mathematics, Medicine, or Engineering).
• Experience with research programs or projects and publication of high-quality work.
• Ability to manage program governance, milestones, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the research program with plans, milestones, meetings, schedules, and risk registers.
• Perform research in medical physics and translate scalable radiotherapy and imaging innovations.
• Contribute to written materials, reports, presentations, and communications.
• Mentor junior academic staff and students to achieve program objectives.
• Duties may include clinical-trial involvement, algorithm development, and data analysis.
