Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Program Manager for Outside School Hours Care to lead a large, high-potential service and an on-site leadership team in a full-time role.

You will partner with the Director of Service to coach, guide, and implement strategy, programming, team management, and daily operations across Before, After, and Vacation Care, ensuring safe, engaging, and inclusive experiences for children and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in an OSHC or education leadership role.
• Diploma qualification (or working towards) as per ACECQA standards.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Actively supporting and guiding your team.
• Building relationships with children, families, and school leaders; overseeing communication with families and the school.
• Overseeing environment setup and ensuring engaging, inclusive programming.

About the role

As Program Manager, you’ll work alongside the Director of Service and the dedicated on-site leadership team. Your leadership will be highly collaboratively working with the Director of Service, who is mostly in ratio, and supporting them with strategy, programming, team management, behaviour management and administration that comes with running a successful OSHC service.
This is a role where you’ll provide daily coaching, guidance, and practical support. You’ll be a familiar, trusted face for families and children, while also being the steady presence that ensures everything runs smoothly. Think of yourself as the captain of the ship, steering the course, supporting your crew, and ensuring everyone arrives safely and smiling.
You’ll be responsible for:

• Actively supporting and guiding your team

• Alongside the Director, embedding routines and structures that create calm, predictable, and positive experiences

This is a large programwith space to grow, and we’re looking for a leader who’s ready to grow with it.

• Overseeing all day-to-day operations across Before, After, and Vacation Care
• Supporting and coaching a structured leadership team
• Embedding strong routines, building systems, and guiding culture
• Driving quality programming, compliance, and family engagement
• Building exceptional relationships with children, families, school leaders and your team
• Resourcing and delivering a fun, inclusive, high-quality experience for all children

This is a high-volume service that needs a leader who thrives on fast-paced, purposeful work and can bring structure, quality, and consistency. You will passionate about providing the children in your care with a space for them to come and feel safe.

• You're a natural leader with a passion for teaching children.

• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids

What You’ll Need:
