Brisbane Catholic Education in Australia seeks a Program Leader (Sport) for St Eugene College, Burpengary, to advance the school’s mission by managing academic, cultural, or outreach programs in alignment with school values.

You will support sport and extracurricular opportunities for students in years 7–12, supervise staff, oversee budgets, and foster community connections within a Catholic context.

Responsibilities

• Lead the designated program in the school.
• Supervise teachers engaged in the program throughout the school.
• Induct new teachers within the program (or supervise the induction where it is undertaken by another experienced teacher).
• Monitor program outcomes for students and address areas of concern through appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate the work of staff engaged in delivering the designated program in the light of the values and ethos of the school.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders (students, parents, school staff and other personnel) to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
• Organise program activities including resources, transport, operations, staff, etc.
• Keep abreast of best practice in the program area through on-going professional reading and research, and providing for the professional learning of staff in line with these developments.
• Supervise the quality of staff within the Program through collegial support, advice, observation and facilitation of reflective response to issues.
• Contribute to the leadership of the school through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Manage financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.

Summary

The Program Leader (Sport) advances St Eugene College's mission by managing academic, cultural, or outreach programs, ensuring processes align with school values and fostering community connections.

The Program Leader (Sport) will support the sport and extra curricular opportunities for students across years 7 - 12.

• Location: St Eugene College - Burpengary (S)
• Work hours:30.00
• Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + Middle Leader Allowance (Tier 3) + 12.75% Super
• Status: Full Time Fixed Term/Variation

This is a continuing teaching appointment with an initial appointment into the Middle Leader position including Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2029). Two subsequent three-year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.
