Job summary

Providence Consulting Group in Canberra is seeking expressions of interest for Program Governance Managers ( Army ) to support Defence and Intelligence program governance. These full-time roles are based in ACT, with options for permanent or contract engagements.

Candidates should hold an Australian Defence security clearance (existing or reinstatable), strong governance experience across Army programs, and be skilled in leading transformations and ICT/capability portfolios.

Qualifications

• Have an existing or reinstatable Australian Defence security clearance.
• Strong understanding of Army Capability Program Governance.
• Leading Defence transformation programs.
• Managing integrated ICT and capability portfolios.
• PRINCE2 or PMBOK certification desirable.
• High EQ (emotional intelligence).

Providence is currently seeking expressions of interest from ex Army Officers ( preferably at the O4/O5 ranks ) who are seeking a change in 2026. These work packages lie across the Defence and Intelligence sectors and would suit candidates based in the ACT. These roles are full time and people seeking both permanent and contract work are encouraged to apply.

About you:

• An existing or reinstatable Australian Defence security clearance and completed.
• Strong understanding of Army Capability Program Governance.
• Leading Defence transformation programs.
• Managing integrated ICT and capability portfolios.
• PRINCE2 or PMBOK certification would be highly desirable.
• High levels of EQ (you should hopefully know what this is).
• Consulting experience (desirable). If not, we can teach you.
