Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is hiring a Production/Warehouse Worker – Forklift Operator at our Mackay Depot. This permanent full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm, with on-the-job training and no prior laundry experience required. You’ll process linen and garments, loading/unloading, and ensure quality in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload Prime Mover on arrival and load before departure.
• Prepare clean uniforms for delivery by customer/site.
• Quality control—ensure sequencing and condition of product.
• Handle soiled uniforms to be scanned daily.
• Load soiled uniforms into crates by customer.
• Follow Chain of Responsibility during loading.
• Unload mats from crates onto racks.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Unloading Prime Mover upon arrival and loading before departure
• Preparing of clean uniforms for delivery by customer/site
• Quality control – ensuring sequenced order and condition of product
• Handling of soiled uniforms to be scanned daily
• Loading soiled uniforms into crate by customer
• Following Chain of Responsibility process for loading Prime Mover
• Unloading of mats from crates onto racks

Will be working as part of a small team so must be able to work autonomously, use problem solving skills and be a team player.

This is a physical role where you will easily be able to see what you have achieved each day as the trucks of cleaned and packed products leave the branch on their way to our customers.

You do not need to have any laundry experience as training is provided. The only requirements for this role are that you have proof of your right to work in Australia, have a Forklift license, and are able to meet the physical benchmarks that are assessed during our pre-employment medicals to ensure you can operate all the equipment and complete your new job safely.
