Job summary

Barker Trailers in Victoria seeks an experienced Team Leader for the Chip Bins area to drive safety, quality and on-time production. You will coordinate the team, allocate work to match skills and support the Area Manager to maintain the production flow and schedule.

Responsibilities include directing daily production activities, ensuring accurate clocking, maintaining 5S standards, following drawings and job sheets, and communicating issues to the Group Leader.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• Understanding of production schedules and deadlines.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Allocating work to match team skills and keep engagement.
• Coordinating daily production activities to meet objectives.
• Maintaining 5S, quality processes and signoffs.
• Ensuring correct materials and drawings are followed.
• Mentoring apprentices and supporting other departments.
• Communicating issues to the Group Leader and investigating root causes.
