Job summary

Chobani Australia is seeking an Area Lead for the night shift at our Dandenong South site to coach a 10–15 person production team, focusing on safety, quality and line performance, and to partner with maintenance, engineering and quality teams to resolve on‑line issues.

Reporting to the Night Shift Manager, you’ll drive OEE improvements, build capability and contribute to production planning while maintaining a structured 6:00pm–6:00am roster with regular days off and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in FMCG/dairy/high-volume manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead teams and build capability.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with OEE, attainment and continuous improvement.
• Proactive mindset to investigate issues and recommend solutions.

Opportunity

This is a genuine frontline leadership opportunity focused on developing people, solving problems on the line, improving performance (OEE) and building capability across the production floor.

As an Area Lead, you'll lead a team of approximately 10–15 production employees within one of our manufacturing areas, helping to deliver safe, high-quality products while building engagement, capability and performance across the team.

Reporting to a Night Shift Manager, you'll spend time on the floor coaching operators, identifying opportunities for improvement, partnering with key stakeholders and helping solve problems proactively across operations, safety, quality and maintenance.

You'll work a permanent night shift roster (6:00pm–6:00am) with a structured roster that provides regular days off and fewer weekend commitments than many traditional manufacturing operations.

In this role, you'll:

Your Experience

We're open to leaders from a range of high-speed manufacturing environments. Dairy experience is highly regarded, but not essential.

What matters most is your ability to lead people, solve problems and drive results.

You'll bring:

• At least 3 years' leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience within FMCG, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, bakery or other high-volume manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated success leading teams and building capability
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience working with operational metrics such as OEE, attainment and continuous improvement
• A proactive mindset and the confidence to investigate issues, identify solutions and make recommendations
