Purpose

Working as part of the Operations Team reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the sales, engineering, warehousing and production functions of the business to ensure that customer orders are both met and exceeded. The successful person will be gathering sales forecasts, understanding customer demands and seeing their orders through to production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with business systems, reports and production schedules, ensure the timely arrival / placement / confirmation of all material requirements.
  • Responsible for the factory production schedule and communications with Projects team regarding onsite dates and flagging any capacity issues.
  • Working with 3rd parties for any products that may be manufactured externally and ensuring they achieve required delivery dates.
  • Liaising with the production and warehousing team to ensure they are on track for all orders. Gather customer required onsite dates and working with the different functions to ensure this is achieved.Establishing good relationships with suppliers and being aware of their specialties and strengths.
  • Assisting production team to ensure cost effective manufacturing is taking place.
  • Assist with tracking production scrap vs. forecasted scrap and flagging deviations.
  • Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing/Operations Management, Business, or Engineering preferred.
  • Diploma or relevant vocational qualification desirable.
  • Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
Work Experience and Skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ideally has experience working in a manufacturing site.
  • Customer focused. Ability to read CAD drawings would be viewed favorably but not required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team. Good IT skills are required.
