Job summary

SDI Limited in Melbourne is seeking a Production Operator to produce SDI products in accordance with training, and to follow OH&S and GMP/GDP standards on site at Bayswater or Montrose.

You will operate, clean and set up machinery, participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives, and help maintain stock and quality checks across warehousing and manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all daily planned jobs is achieved in full by the end of shift.
• Escalates any delays on time on daily planned jobs to Leading Hand/Supervisor.
• Participates in basic continuous improvement activities.
• Operates, cleans and sets-up machinery/equipment.
• Contributes to the production process including warehousing, dispensary, manufacturing and/or packing.
• Follows SOPs and work instructions efficiently.
• Performs basic troubleshooting of equipment as trained.
• Performs in-process checks and fills-in GMP/GDP paperwork.
• Assists with writing or updating production-related documents such as Production Forms and Work Instructions.
• Participates in Safety Risk Assessments of processes and equipment.
• Assists with stocktake, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Raises safety-related concerns or hazards.
• Participates in production and toolbox meetings.
• Performs in-process quality checks according to the relevant production form.
• Maintains enough raw material for their shift and into the next shift.
• Keeps work area clean according to Cleaning Checklist.
• Stores approved product in dedicated storage areas.
• Informs Supervisor of deviations from standard procedures.
• Follows LEAN initiatives.

Summary of Role

The Production Operator is responsible for:

• Producing of SDI products as per training provided.
• Following all OH&S policies and procedures to ensure own safety, the safety of fellow employees and all persons on the worksite e.g., PPE, SOPs, WI/OIs
• Following all SDI employment-related policies and procedures.
• Ensuring GMP and GDP compliance and instilling a "right-first time‟ approach
• Contributing towards SDI Strategic Priorities.
• Contributing towards SDI Strategic Priorities.
• Conducting work in a safe manner and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork and innovation.

Specific Responsibilities
