Job summary

BlueScope is seeking Production Operator Team Members for our Orrcon Steel operations in O’Sullivan Beach. You’ll rotate through day and afternoon shifts, operating machinery to produce steel products and maintain quality while upholding safety and teamwork.

The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for Production OperatorTeam Members in our manufacturing team based in O’Sullivan Beach. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe andleading Australian steel distributor with nationallyrecognised brands.

We are excited to be offeringmultipleopportunities for permanent operations team members for our O'Sullivan Beachplant.Whether you have steel industry experience or not, we are seeking individuals who are keen to further their skills in manufacturing. You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of thisTeam Memberrole allowing for future career development opportunities.

Initially, you will be working rotating shifts, day shift hours of 6:00 am to 2.20 pm (5 days) and afternoon shift hours of 2:00 pm to 10.20 pm (4 days), progressing to working day work Monday to Friday with one RDO per month.

This permanent full-time role offersa competitive weekly rate, plus allowances (15% for afternoon shift) plus superannuation.

What Will You Do?

As a Team Memberyou will work in a continuousproductionenvironment. Your role will be to operatemachinery to create smarter solutions for our customers, whilemonitoring product quality andremaining committed toyour own safety and that of your team.Working within a collaborative team environment, you’ll receive ongoing training and support. You will:

• successfully contribute to a safe working environment
• operating machinery to manufacturesteel product
• safely pack and strap our steel products
• performing machinery maintenance and cleaning
• be required to use overhead gantry cranes and drive forklifts
