Job summary

Signature Orthopaedics in Australia designs and manufactures orthopaedic implants and instruments. Our Production Floor Support role keeps the floor running, supports machinists, technicians and quality teams, and offers hands-on learning in a growing medical device manufacturer.

You’ll start early, work at a hands-on pace, and have opportunities to grow into technical and machining roles while contributing to safe, efficient production and quality.

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded and enjoy knowing how things work and fixing them.
• Experience in a production, manufacturing or workshop environment.
• Follows procedures carefully and asks when unsure.
• Reliable, eager to learn and happy to get stuck in.
• Detail-focused because quality matters in what we make.
• Flexible and available for overtime when needed.
• TAFE background in Engineering/Mechanical/Manufacturing is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support production staff with daily manufacturing tasks.
• Move, stage and track materials, parts and work orders on the floor.
• Assist with machine setup, basic maintenance, cleaning and changeovers.
• Carry out basic inspection and packaging tasks following set procedures.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe (5S).
• Follow documented work instructions and quality requirements closely.
• Pitch in wherever the team needs a hand.

• Moving, staging and tracking materials, parts and work orders on the floor
• Helping with machine setup, basic maintenance, cleaning and changeovers
• Carrying out basic inspection and packaging tasks, following set procedures
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe (5S)
• Following documented work instructions and quality requirements closely
• Pitching in wherever the team needs a hand

About you
