Redox Ltd in Laverton North, Melbourne, is seeking a motivated graduate Chemist to apply technical knowledge in a hands-on manufacturing setting. You will support sampling, testing and documentation while learning GMP and HACCP compliance.

Qualifications

• Territorial qualifications in Chemistry or science-related field.
• Previous experience as Lab assistant or Production technician is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Commitment to WHS, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Computer-literate with MS 365 Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Organise and manage a library of technical literature (SDS, specifications) and other technical information for inventory.
• Prepare samples for testing while maintaining sample integrity and traceability.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure sampling, retentions and testing align with company procedures.
• Coordinate external testing and analysis of products and solutions.
• Archive supplier test methods and ensure tests align with Redox specifications.
• Release finished products for supply in accordance with GMP.

The Position

About The Role

• Permanent full-time position
• Organise and manage a library of technical literature pertaining to SDS, Specifications and other technical information on products in our inventory.
• Prepare samples for testing whilst upholding sample integrity and traceability
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments
• Ensure that sampling, retentions, and testing of materials are conducted according to company procedures.
• Organise external testing and analysis of products and solutions
• Collect and archive supplier test methods.
• Ensure that laboratory tests are consistent with Redox specifications and finished products are released for supply in accordance with the GMP Code
• General administrative duties, including answering telephone calls and investigating stock discrepancies
• Monitoring the progress of pending work orders, purchase orders, and stock transfers to ensure timely completion
• Raise work orders and stock transfer requests as required
• Provide relief and operational support to Store Coordinator, Transport Coordinator and Production Management team

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry or a science-related field
• Previous experience in a Lab assistant or Production technician role will be reviewed favourably
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A commitment and appreciation for the importance of WHS, GMP and HACCP
• Computer literate and knowledgeable in the Microsoft 365 Office Suite
