Dinosaur Designs in Sydney's Redfern studio is seeking a Production Associate – Process Worker – Sanding. The role involves sanding homeware pieces, keeping a steady workflow, and meeting daily deadlines in a busy studio environment.

You must be fit to stand for long periods, able to perform repetitive tasks, and follow OH&S rules. The roster is 8am–4pm on weekdays with occasional weekend work; good communication is essential to coordinate with Production Managers and Supervisors.

Job description

Production Associate – Process Worker – Sanding

Hours will be between 8am-4pm (only 8 hours in a shift) weekdays with occasional optional weekend work. Roster is flexible and to be discussed with the Production Manager. Some of our homeware pieces are heavy so we need the successful applicants to be fit, willing and able as most of the work is standing up. It’s also a repetitive job.

Good communication skills are required. We are close to public transport. SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all tasks associated with the sanding of Homewares under the direction of the Production Managers and Supervisors
• Prioritize work adhering to deadlines on all sanding jobs and special orders, keeping accurate tallies and communicating any foreseeable problems or delays
• Assess regularly all sanding rejects, salvaging pieces that can be repaired
• Assist with the daily cleaning of the sanding room

Requirements

• Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety requirements, Studio and Company Policy procedures in the various work areas of the studio
• Comply with OH&S requirements ensuring correct protection is worn at all times
• Men will have to shave if bearded. Moustache is ok
• Perform the appropriate stretches as required
