Job summary

CSR Limited in Gloucester, NSW, Australia, is seeking a proactive Production Assistant to support daily operations on a day shift (7am–3pm). You will work with the Production Team Leader to help meet production targets while upholding safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

The role involves assisting with schedules, machinery setup, changeovers, and minor maintenance tasks, with opportunities for training and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Current Forklift Licence and Current Drivers Licence.
• Basic computer skills and sound numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture.
• Assist with production schedules, machine setup, and changeovers.
• Support efficient manufacturing operations and minimise downtime.
• Help ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Provide support during overtime or peak periods when required.
• Conduct routine quality checks throughout production.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Report equipment faults and support maintenance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity and waste reduction.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the facility.
