About The Role

What if your marketing could help bring new ideas to life, connect research with industry, and turn innovation into real-world impact? As Product Marketing and Communications Advisor, you’ll have the opportunity to work across Swinburne’s Innovation & Enterprise and Research portfolios, helping translate complex ideas, expertise and capabilities into compelling stories, experiences and marketing initiatives that connect with industry, organisations and future partners.

Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, Innovation & Enterprise and Research, you’ll play an important role in delivering integrated marketing, communications and digital content initiatives that build awareness, create engagement and support the growth of Swinburne’s research, innovation, enterprise and industry engagement activities.

This is an opportunity to broaden your marketing experience beyond traditional campaigns. You’ll work across go-to-market initiatives for new and existing products, services and programs, contributing to campaign planning, content development, digital marketing, website management, creative production, stakeholder engagement and performance reporting. You’ll help bring offerings to market, shape how we communicate their value, and connect Swinburne’s capabilities with the people and organisations that can benefit from them.

Working collaboratively with specialist marketing teams, researchers, academics, business units and external partners, you’ll gain exposure to a diverse range of projects, audiences and challenges. From developing customer stories that demonstrate real-world impact to supporting targeted B2B campaigns and digital customer journeys, you’ll see how integrated marketing can build credibility, create opportunities and support strategic growth.

If you’re looking to grow your marketing skills, expand your commercial experience and contribute to work with purpose, this role offers the opportunity to develop your career while helping shape how Swinburne connects knowledge, innovation and industry.

About You

You’re a curious, proactive marketer who enjoys turning ideas into action. You can move between creative thinking and practical delivery, bring people together around shared objectives, and find ways to communicate complex ideas clearly and compellingly.

You’re interested in understanding what motivates different audiences, how marketing can create new opportunities, and how well-executed campaigns, content and customer experiences can contribute to broader business goals. You’re comfortable managing competing priorities, building relationships and taking ownership of projects from planning through to delivery.

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Coordinating marketing projects and integrated campaigns, supporting planning, delivery and reporting.
  • Supporting account-based marketing (ABM) activities and targeted B2B marketing campaigns.
  • Using CRM and email marketing platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar technologies, and supporting customer journeys and communications.
  • Creating clear and engaging written content, including case studies, customer stories, website content and marketing communications.
  • Working in a B2B environment and collaborating with sales, business development and internal stakeholders to support marketing and business objectives.
  • Managing multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders, with strong attention to detail and an ability to keep activity moving.
Qualifications

A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Further information about this role can be found in the attached position description.
