Job Description

About Us

Jomablue is a leading player in the events industry. But we're not just about delivering top‑notch SaaS and onsite solutions for event professionals; we're also about building careers and fostering growth. Our culture thrives on innovation, collaboration, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

The Role

The Product Manager reports to the Chief Technology Officer and plays a critical role in shaping and expanding our product portfolio. You will partner across the business and engage with customers to uncover their challenges, translating insights into solutions that deliver measurable success for customers. This role blends strategic vision, technical depth, and delivery leadership to transform customer needs into scalable, impactful products. You will help develop and validate concepts for new offerings, assess market conditions and competitive dynamics, and design proof‑of‑concepts to de‑risk investment decisions. Working closely with engineering, operations and other parts of the business you will ensure from scoping to delivery our customers are a success.

You must be motivated and passionate about great service. Within a small team, you understand that working closely with others and pitching in when necessary helps our team be stronger and reach our goals. This is a flexible position with the opportunity to mix office and home work environments.

This position is suited to someone with 5–7 years of product or project management experience in SaaS or technology‑driven environments who enjoys working hands‑on, collaborating closely with technical and business teams, and ensuring smooth, timely delivery.

When and Where

This is a full‑time remote position based anywhere within Australia.

Your Duties
  • Lead product discovery for new initiatives, supporting early‑stage mapping of risks and feasibility.
  • Drive proof‑of‑concept projects, scoping and delivering technically complex initiatives in partnership with engineering (across hardware, mobile, and cloud components).
  • Write and maintain product requirements (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria) that balance technical depth with business value.
  • Represent the product function in technical integration meetings and help translate customer feedback into clear requirements and tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering on architectural discussions and evolving system design, contributing product direction and context.
  • Communicate priorities, trade‑offs, and timelines clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate technical design reviews and drive cross‑functional alignment throughout delivery.
  • Act as the product escalation point, supporting stakeholders and internal teams when challenges arise during delivery.
  • Support go‑to‑market readiness by working closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to align delivery with launch plans.
Skills and Experience

While we list some skills and experience items below, we are focused on finding the right person who wants to learn and grow.

  • 5–7 years of experience in product management, technical product ownership, or program/project management within a SaaS or technology‑driven environment.
  • Proven ability to lead delivery of product initiatives end‑to‑end, working closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience using tools such as JIRA to manage backlogs, sprints, and releases.
  • Ability to write and maintain product documentation (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria) and translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams on technical design, integrations, and system dependencies.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Experience leading or supporting proof‑of‑concept development.
  • Familiarity with user research and prototyping techniques.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, APIs, or system integrations in a SaaS environment.
  • Background in innovation, emerging technologies, or software engineering.
  • Contributions to process improvement in scaling teams.
The Right Fit
  • Communication Excellence – Effective communication ensures clarity, builds relationships and drives alignment across teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – Collaboration is about working cohesively towards shared goals, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a sense of team spirit.
  • Customer Focus – A customer‑focused mindset ensures that we anticipate and meet customer needs, creating positive experiences and driving loyalty.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making – Strong problem‑solving involves analysing situations, identifying solutions and making sound decisions, often under pressure.
  • Dynamic Adaptability – The ability to quickly adjust to changing circumstances, technologies and requirements while maintaining efficiency and effectiveness.
What We Offer
  • A commitment to your health and wellbeing, including subsidised access to ClassPass for fitness and wellness activities.
  • A dynamic, inclusive workplace where diversity of thought is valued and your development is actively supported through mentorship and feedback.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, reviewed annually to ensure alignment with industry benchmarks and your career progression.
  • Dedicated leave days and financial support for approved external training, empowering you to pursue professional development.
  • Regular 'Best Practice Workshops' and knowledge‑sharing sessions that promote collaboration and continuous learning.
  • A flexible hybrid work model, balancing in‑office collaboration with remote work to enhance productivity and work‑life balance.
  • A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered.
