Job summary

HyperLight is seeking a Procurement Specialist to coordinate day-to-day shipping, receiving, inventory control, purchasing, and material movement to support TFLN photonics manufacturing. The role focuses on issuing POs, supplier negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery across domestic and international shipments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in procurement, ERP PO experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), and strong Excel/Outlook skills, with a track record of accuracy and cost-conscious decision

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
• Proficiency with ERP systems for PO management (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and manage purchase orders throughout full PO lifecycle.
• Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotes to support cost-effective decisions.
• Communicate with vendors on pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor open purchase orders and expedites as needed; manage supplier performance.
• Assist with sourcing alternative suppliers when primary sources are unavailable.
• Review discrepancies in invoices, pricing, and receiving with Finance and Logistics.
• Maintain supplier records and procurement docs in ERP; prepare spend reports.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives and RFQ/RFP processes.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments and prepare shipping docs.
• Receive and verify materials against PO and packing slips; record receipts in ERP.
• Perform basic inventory tasks and cycle counts.
• Identify procurement process improvements and cost reductions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
