Job summary

ABN Group is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to lead end-to-end procurement across building products, subcontractors and key spend categories. You will shape category strategies, drive commercial outcomes and strengthen supplier partnerships across the Group, reporting to the Procurement Manager.

You will analyze spend, research markets and evaluate supplier capability to identify opportunities, manage risk and create long-term value.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies aligned to commercial objectives.
• Strong spend analysis and market research to identify value opportunities.
• Experience negotiating complex, long-term supplier agreements and contracts.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of supplier evaluation, risk management and total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute category strategies and sourcing plans.
• Lead competitive sourcing processes (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) and supplier selection.
• Develop and manage complex commercial contracts with strong risk allocation.
• Lead negotiations to secure sustainable supplier agreements and value.
• Build strategic supplier partnerships to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Influence stakeholders across operations, finance and construction to improve whole-of-life value.
