Job summary

ADM Protexin Ltd seeks a Process Engineering professional to drive manufacturing and packaging design improvements. You will work with engineers and operators to optimize processes, transfer technologies, and lead capital projects while ensuring safety and compliance across facilities.

Ideal candidates bring a mechanical engineering background, 3–5 years' experience, and proficiency in CAD/P&IDs. You will collaborate across teams to achieve capacity planning and continuous improvement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with optimization/analytical processes and tools.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop, evaluate and integrate manufacturing and packaging designs.
• Identify and lead projects to reduce losses and increase OEE metrics.
• Work with subject matter experts on tech transfer of new products and technologies.
• Collaborate with technicians and operators to standardize processes and setups.
• Serve as a technical partner to production, maintenance and leadership teams.
• Address capacity constraints based on demand forecasts with the Plant Manager.
• Develop and maintain a 5-year capital project portfolio, balancing productivity and growth.
• Promote safety culture and continuous process safety improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate with equipment and project engineers on the development, evaluation and integration of new manufacturing and packaging designs and enhancements to meet strategic business plans and customer requirements.
• Identify, collaborate and/ or lead projects to reduce losses and/ or increase OEE: rates, yields, capacity, schedule attainment.
• Work closely with company subject matter experts on the tech transfer of new products, new technologies and implementation of innovative approaches to plant operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and operators to benchmark the facility and develop standardized system to define and sustain optimal processes and equipment set- ups.
• Serve as a technical partner for the site including production and maintenance employees, plant operations and leadership team, other manufacturing sites, corporate engineering, S&T organisations, and external partners.
• Work closely with local Plant Manager to identify and address current and future capacity constraints based on demand forecasts.
• Develop and maintain a 5- year capital project portfolio to include capital budgeting and execution that strikes a balance between non- discretionary, productivity and growth spend.
• Display a dedication to lead, develop and support safety and promote a safety culture. Promote continuous process safety improvement.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred. Other engineering or technology fields will be considered.
• Position requires 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Dedication to working safely and to awareness for the safety of others.
• Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to direct, organize and motivate cross functional teams.
• Must be adaptable with the ability to learn new technologies quickly and implement where applicable.
• Experience with optimization/ analytical processes and tools.
• Working knowledge of CAD applications, P&IDs and control narratives.
• Willingness to spend time on the production on a regular basis working directly with production operators and maintenance technicians.
• Familiar with Lean and Six Sigma improvement methodologies.
