Job summary

Trs Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support a large-scale underground mining and mineral processing development focused on a naturally occurring fertilizer mineral.

The role requires a strong background in mining and resources to drive outcomes across study, design and project execution phases. The successful candidate will lead process design activities, define requirements, and support studies across metals processing projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in process design for mining projects and early-phase studies.
• Knowledge of plant layouts and design guidance for engineers.
• Experience with dry crushing and screening plants.
• Desirable: potash project exposure; Siemens COMOS experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead/process design activities for early-phase engineering studies (concept and pre-feasibility).
• Define process design requirements and guide designers on plant layouts.
• Support studies and detailed design for metals processing projects across commodities.

This role is ideally suited to a seasoned engineer with a strong mining and resources background who can drive technical outcomes across study, design, and project execution phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Process design activities for early-phase engineering studies, including concept and pre-feasibility studies
• Define process design requirements and provide guidance to designers on plant layouts
• Support studies and detailed design for metals processing projects across various commodities
• Conduct and manage research and optimization studies to improve plant performance

Key Experience Required

• Materials handling and mining project experience
• Experience with dry crushing and screening plants
• Potash project experience desirable but not essential
• Siemens COMOS experience desirable but not essential
