Job summary

International Flavours & Fragrances (Australia) Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a chemical/process engineer to advance scale-up and manufacturing improvements. This onsite role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams and opportunities to influence product development.

You will contribute to trials, reporting, safety, and continuous improvement while delivering process documentation and capital project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of process development, scale-up, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support new product introductions, manufacturing trials, and process scale-up activities.
• Analyze process data and prepare technical reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Develop process documentation and temporary manufacturing instructions.
• Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
