With privacy requirements continuing to evolve, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of the organisation's privacy framework while managing day-to-day privacy matters across a complex and highly regulated environment.

The Role

You will be involved across a broad range of privacy matters, including:

  • Managing and responding to privacy incidents, including matters involving sensitive and health information.
  • Supporting the assessment, investigation and documentation of potential privacy breaches.
  • Conducting and supporting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) across new and existing projects, systems, processes and initiatives.

  • Supporting the development, review and implementation of privacy policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Monitoring changes to privacy legislation and assisting the organisation to respond to evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting privacy reporting and the escalation of significant matters through appropriate governance channels.
  • Working collaboratively with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology and operational teams on privacy-related matters.
  • Promoting privacy awareness and supporting education and training across the organisation.
About You

You will have demonstrated experience working in privacy, data protection, risk, compliance or a related governance environment, together with:

  • Strong working knowledge of Australian privacy legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing privacy incidents and supporting breach response processes.
  • Experience conducting or contributing to Privacy Impact Assessments.
  • An understanding of privacy governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
  • The ability to interpret privacy obligations and provide clear, practical guidance to stakeholders.
