Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC Beechworth is seeking an assessment and transition coordinator to support prisoners preparing for release at Beechworth Correctional Centre. You will assess risks and needs, coordinate parole applications, and deliver transition services.

The role requires resilience, teamwork in a correctional setting, and accurate record-keeping with referrals to service providers to support reintegration.

Formación

• Experience in or understanding of working in a correctional environment.
• Knowledge of prisoner transition and reintegration needs.
• Ability to use risk assessment tools with individual prisoners.
• Resilience to work with people who may be difficult to engage.
• Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a prison setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assess prisoner risks and needs.
• Deliver programs, services and support for prisoners preparing for release.
• Conduct thorough risk and needs assessments with prisoners.
• Coordinate parole applications and support case management reviews.
• Help deliver practical transition and reintegration programs and services.
• Work with service providers to arrange referrals and support.
• Keep accurate records and data about assessments, programs and parole applications.
