Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria is seeking a Prison Industry Officer for the Loddon Mallee region. You will lead and manage prisoners and prison officers in industrial areas, ensuring safety and security while maintaining production targets.

This is a full-time, on-site role requiring leadership, mature judgement and strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills. Trade qualifications or equivalent and a valid driver's license are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage prisoners and prison officers in the industrial areas of the prison.
• Maintain the integrity of external and internal security through compliance with security and safety procedures, including prisoner monitoring and surveillance.
• Monitor and achieve production targets in a complex trade or industrial environment.
