Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced Principal Telecommunications Engineer to lead the design, strategy and delivery of telecommunications, industrial communications and OT networking solutions across mining, energy, utilities and industrial projects in Australia.

You will mentor engineers, shape architectures, drive technology strategies and support digital transformation and cybersecurity objectives, while delivering projects from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in telecommunications, industrial networking or operational technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communications, network infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
• Experience leading complex projects within mining, energy, utilities or industrial sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
• Ability to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for telecommunications, industrial networking and digital infrastructure projects.

• Deliver telecommunications solutions across the project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through to construction and commissioning.
• Support technologies including private LTE/5G, industrial Wi‑Fi, fibre optics, microwave radio, digital radio and OT networks.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting digital transformation, operational reliability and cybersecurity objectives.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to business development and support the growth of Worley's telecommunications capability.
