Job description

As a Principal Spatial Analyst, you will contribute to the Spatial Services team by supporting the implementation, development, monitoring and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). You will deliver planned programs of work and develop innovative spatial solutions that support strategic and operational objectives.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and meet spatial information needs, including supporting regional planning initiatives through the development and maintenance of enterprise spatial solutions.

Key responsibilities

Highly desirable criteria

• Demonstrated experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, including administration, development and support of enterprise GIS solutions.
• Experience developing ArcGIS Experience Builder applications and other web-based GIS applications.
• Experience building, configuring and administering Survey123 forms and associated workflows.
• Proficiency in Python scripting to automate spatial analysis, data management and business processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise GIS solutions within a complex organisational environment.
• Knowledge of spatial data management, web GIS technologies and system integration.
• Experience supporting regional planning, spatial analysis or government planning initiatives.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable geospatial solutions.

Formal qualifications are not mandatory; however, demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Experience Builder, Survey123 and Python-based workflow automation will be highly regarded.
