Job summary

Commonwealth Bank is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Digital Customer Journey to lead technical direction for digital lending experiences across NetBank, CommBank App and self-service channels. You’ll shape technology vision, architecture, and engineering standards in a major Business Lending Modernisation program.

This hands-on leader will mentor teams, drive cloud-native platforms on AWS, implement modern engineering practices, and partner with product, design and business stakeholders

Qualifications

• Proven principal engineer or technical leadership experience.
• Hands-on across architecture, design, coding, and production tuning.
• Strong React/Next.js and .NET Core/C# background.
• Experience designing cloud-native AWS microservices.
• Strong DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technology direction.
