About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated IRAP Assessorto join our growing cybersecurity consulting team in Canberra. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about protecting sensitive environments, enjoys working closely with clients, and thrives in a collaborative, high-trust team.

Your day-to-day tasks will vary considerably, however with a primary focus on IRAP assessments – from leading and delivering client projects, working with clients / prospective clients and identifying their security needs and whether we can assist, mentoring and coaching more junior staff and more. Typical delivery tasks might include:

  • Completing IRAP assessments
  • Assisting and advising clients implement the ISM and prepare for IRAP
  • Undertaking security threat and risk assessments
  • Developing security strategies and roadmaps
  • Delivering security architecture advice (particularly surrounding cloud services)

Naturally, we expect candidates will be stronger in certain areas; and we are most interested in those that can demonstrate versatility.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Current or recent experience as an IRAP Assessor across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments
  • NV1 Clearance
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
  • An analytical mindset (particularly when it comes to technology and business risk)
  • An ability to deliver multiple consulting projects at a high quality, often under pressure, while also developing strong relationships with our customers
  • Australian Government security frameworks (ISM, PSPF) and supporting frameworks (IRAP Quality Assurance Framework)
  • A strong understanding of managing conflict of interest
Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the IRAP New Starter Training and be endorsed by ASD
