Base pay range

A$133,603.00/yr - A$143,125.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Operate as the day‑to‑day media contact for the QAS, managing and responding to enquiries to maximise coverage opportunities or escalating to the Head of Communications and Media as required.
• Lead the QAS' proactive approach to media, building media relationships and identifying/pitching traditional and non‑traditional opportunities to raise awareness and elevate the QAS brand with target audiences.
• Research, write and review key media and communications documentation, such as media releases, website articles, fact sheets, newsletters and speaking notes.
• Develop, pitch and evaluate newsworthy launch, media and photo opportunities to support QAS programs and initiatives in alignment with QAS' strategic pillars.
• Manage and monitor daily media coverage, identifying and escalating coverage as needed and delivering to reporting requirements.
• Lead the development and maintenance of QAS external website content, identifying opportunities for integrated communications or cross‑promotion.
• Lead the development and execution of program communications plans, aligning with QAS' strategic pillars and identifying opportunities for integrated communications or cross‑promotion.
