Principal Maritime Engineer - Senior Leadership Opportunity

An established boutique engineering consultancy with a strong presence across Australia is looking to appoint a Principal Maritime Engineer / Maritime Technical Director to help drive the continued growth of its ports, maritime and coastal capability.

The business has built a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects, ranging from smaller, complex D&C assignments through to major Tier 1 infrastructure projects across Australia.

As part of its next phase of growth, the consultancy is looking to strengthen its senior capability and appoint an experienced maritime professional who can bring strong technical expertise, industry knowledge and leadership.

Depending on your background and experience, the position can be shaped around technical leadership, sector leadership, or a combination of both.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Lead and provide technical direction across ports and maritime projects
• Help grow the firm's capability and market presence across Australia
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners
• Support major bids and identify new project opportunities
• Mentor and develop engineers within the business

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have experience across:

• Ports and marine infrastructure, maritime structures & coastal engineering
• Wharves, jetties and terminals
• Major infrastructure and D&C environments
• Technical leadership and/or business development (beneficial but not essential)

Previous experience working within the Australian engineering and infrastructure market is preferred, however, experienced maritime professionals from overseas can also be considered.

We are ideally seeking candidates in Melbourne but also happy to consider candidates who are based in NSW/QLD/SA/TAS as well.
