Job summary

Qualifications

• 1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
• 2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
• 3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
• 4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
• 5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
• 6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
• - Demonstrated strong, visible and strategic leadership that builds staff and executive capacity to lead improvement, innovation and change through the implementation of effective systems, processes and practices focused on driving school improvement and the achievement of the School Excellence Plan.
• - Demonstrated capacity to lead with a deep understanding of inclusive education, fostering a cohesive and collaborative culture across a diverse school community that includes a large support unit, student services team, non-teaching specialists, wrap-around support staff and teachers with varied experience.
• - Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively to effectively build strategic partnerships and enhance relationships amongst the wider school community.
• - Demonstrated capacity to lead, inspire and model a culture of high expectations for staff, students and the community, which promotes highly effective educational practices and inspires confidence in Public Education.
