Job summary

Queensland Government seeks experienced school leaders for short-term relieving opportunities (Levels 3-10) across Far North Queensland as part of the Partnership Initiative. The roles involve leading in socio-educationally disadvantaged communities, including discrete Indigenous communities, with a focus on building strong partnerships and pathways to success.

Roles are temporary and may span a few weeks to a school semester during the 2026/2027 year.

Qualifications

• Experience in school leadership roles.
• Willing to live and work in rural and remote locations including discrete Indigenous communities.
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to improving educational outcomes in disadvantaged communities.
• Ability to work in complex and dynamic school settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support PI schools across Far North Queensland.
• Contribute to regional and state-wide Partnership Initiative priorities.
