Job summary

Boэnhunter Executive Search & Selection is partnering with a clinical trials organisation to appoint Principal Investigators across NSW and QLD. The role provides medical and scientific leadership for early-phase studies and offers opportunities to mentor teams and shape trial conduct onsite.

Onsite Positions Available: NSW and QLD

We are partnering with an established clinical trials organisation seeking Principal Investigators across NSW and QLD to provide medical and scientific leadership across innovative early-phase studies.

This opportunity may suit an experienced Principal Investigator, or a Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officer or Sub-Investigator already working within early-phase clinical research who is ready to take on broader investigator responsibility.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with clinical, scientific and operational teams to oversee the safe and successful delivery of early-phase clinical trials, including:

• Acting as Principal Investigator across assigned studies
• Reviewing protocols, Investigator Brochures and emerging scientific data
• Providing medical oversight of participant eligibility, safety and adverse events
• Contributing to study feasibility, protocol interpretation and key clinical decisions
• Working directly with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and CRO partners
• Supporting and mentoring medical and clinical team members
• Ensuring studies are conducted to the highest ethical, regulatory and ICH-GCP standards

About You

You will ideally bring:

• medical degree – MBBS, MD, MBChB or equivalent
• Strong clinical judgement and confidence in medical decision-making
• clinical research, drug development and emerging therapies
• The ability to engage comfortably with multidisciplinary scientific and clinical teams

Experience as a PI, Sub-Investigator, Medical Officer or Senior Medical Officer within Phase I / early-phase research would be highly regarded.

A Master’s, PhD or other research qualification would also be advantageous, but is not essential where strong clinical research experience is demonstrated.
