Onterris Australia, formerly Epic Environmental, seeks a senior leader to manage the Brisbane Contaminated Land team of 20+ professionals. You will oversee business development, resource allocation, technical growth and cross-team utilisation while leading Team Leaders.

You will drive strategic initiatives, maintain QA, and build a high-performing team through mentoring, recruitment planning and stakeholder engagement across clients and regulators.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in environmental field and relevant experience required.
• 15+ years in contaminated land and water within environmental consultancy.
• Solid understanding of Queensland and national environmental frameworks.
• Industry certification or interest to pursue (CEnvP/CPSS).
• Proven experience leading teams of 10+ employees.

Reporting directly to the General Manager for Contaminated Land and Water, this newly created role for Onterris Australia will be responsible for managing the Brisbane based ContaminatedLand team of over 20 professionals. As a member of the Practice Leader team, you will oversee business development, resource allocation, technical development and cross-team utilisation while leading and developing Team Leaders within the practice.

The role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

• Leading the strategic and operational performance of the Brisbane Contaminated Land team
• Driving financial performance, including revenue, utilisation, profitability and workforce planning outcomes
• Developing and mentoring Team Leaders and senior technical staff to build a high-performing and engaged team
• Strengthening client relationships and supporting business growth through market engagement and business development activities
• Maintaining excellence in technical delivery, quality assurance and health, safety and environmental performance
• Contributing to the ongoing growth, innovation and continuous improvement of the Contaminated Land business
• Preparing annual hiring plans, assisting in HR matters and continuing to grow a culture of innovation and collaboration

Your Expertise and Skills

• Tertiary qualification from a recognised institute in Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Management or related field
• 15+ years experience within contaminated land and water in an environmental consultancy
• Solid understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks
• Industry certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or keen interest to pursue this
• Proven experience leading and managing teams of 10 or more employees
