Are you an experienced environmental professional ready to make an impact on major infrastructure projects? We’re seeking a Principal Environmental Scientist with a proven track record in delivering environmental approvals for large-scale transport and water projects.

About the Role

In this senior position, you’ll lead environmental approvals and compliance processes for complex projects, ensuring all statutory requirements are met and environmental integrity is maintained throughout delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and manage Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and other approvals for major transport and infrastructure projects.
• Provide expert advice on environmental legislation, compliance, and risk management.
• Develop Environmental Management Plans and oversee their implementation during construction.
• Engage with stakeholders to align project objectives with environmental requirements.
• Conduct compliance audits and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation across project teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience in environmental approvals for major projects, including transport and water infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality EIS and technical reports.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex compliance programs and deliver outcomes within budget and timeframes.
• Knowledge of TMR approvals pathways.
