Job summary

AECOM in Sydney is expanding its Water Infrastructure Team to deliver large-scale projects across ANZ. You’ll be immersed in a strong, long-term pipeline, handling complex water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, and associated electrical systems.

The role offers flexible work arrangements, opportunities to mentor colleagues, and to contribute to design packages, cost estimates and bid submissions, with hybrid work options in a dynamic consulting environment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience on municipal water and/or wastewater projects.
  • Experience in dynamic consulting and design environment & in industrial electrical, instrument and control systems engineering
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering & CPEng
  • Project Management & Quality Management procedures (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Electrical design for pumping stations and water/wastewater facilities.
  • Contribute to delivery of electrical design packages.
  • Lead electrical systems design including instrumentation, power distribution, control and communications.
  • Carry out technical studies including modelling and computational analysis.
  • Electrical project cost estimating.
  • Computer aided drafting.
  • Prepare proposals, design schedules, budgets and submissions for bids.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Job Description

Due to significant contract awards within our Water business, we are expanding our Water Infrastructure Team in the Sydney.

By joining our team, you’ll be immersed in a strong, long-term pipeline of work, handling complex, large-scale and iconic projects across ANZ.

How you’ll make a difference
  • You will be involved in electrical engineering works associated with pumping stations and equipment, water and wastewater treatment plants, ventilation, fire protection and HVAC systems
  • Contribute to the delivery of electrical design packages
  • From a technical perspective, you will be responsible for:
  • Electrical systems design including instrumentation, power distribution, control and communications;
  • Technical studies including modelling and computational analysis;
  • Electrical project cost estimating;
  • Computer aided drafting.
  • Contribute to and lead the preparation of proposals, design schedules, budgets and technical and commercial submissions for bid proposals associated with electrical work for external clients.
  • Mentor junior members of the team.
