The opportunity

Toowoomba Catholic Schools invites applications for the foundation Principal of St Francis Catholic College, Westbrook - a rare and exciting opportunity to shape the future of a new Catholic P-12 college.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Catholic educational leader who will play a pivotal role in ensuring our mission for the College is realised - to cultivate wonder - to nurture minds, hearts and spirits through an education that celebrates the sacred, embraces the search for knowledge, and fosters a lifelong desire to serve others.

You will be inspired by the life and lessons of St Francis of Assisi as you guide students to ask bold questions, honour their faith and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

This is a unique chance to

  • lead with purpose in creating a College that nurtures curiosity, creativity and compassion bringing to life the College’s mission
  • use the innovative learning environments to design and implement a contemporary pedagogy and Catholic identity for the College
  • build strong partnerships with families, parish and the wider community to ensure the College and its leadership becomes a trusted and integral part of the local landscape
  • establish operational excellence, guiding the development of staffing, facilities, and governance from foundation to flourishing
  • inspire a culture of service, where employees model expectations and students are formed as thoughtful, faith-filled contributors to society.
Mandatory requirements
  • an active member of a Catholic Sunday Eucharistic community
  • working towards or completion of post graduate qualifications in Religious Education, Educational Leadership or Theology
  • hold or be eligible to hold registration as a teacher in Queensland
  • willingness to travel and work flexible hours when needed
