Job summary

TRS Resourcing is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for a full-time workshop role in Welshpool, WA. You will service and repair prime movers, trucks and trailers, diagnose faults and carry out planned and reactive maintenance in a busy workshop.

The ideal candidate has a trade qualification or extensive hands-on experience with heavy vehicles, strong fault‑finding skills, knowledge of brake and suspension systems, a current driver’s licence, good communication and basic computer

Qualifications

• Trade qualification preferred.
• Experience with trucks, trailers, heavy vehicles, plant or similar equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of brake and suspension systems.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Good communication and basic computer skills.
• Reliable, safety-conscious approach.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing prime movers, trucks and trailers.
• Diagnosing mechanical, braking and suspension faults.
• Completing planned and reactive maintenance.
• Replacing and repairing mechanical components.
• Conducting workshop and occasional breakdown repairs.
• Carrying out safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Accurately recording completed work.
• Working independently and as part of a workshop team.
