Job summary

Shearwater School is seeking a Primary Wellbeing Coordinator to foster a safe, supportive environment and uphold high behavioural standards in the Primary School. You will work with Class Teachers and the Primary Coordinator to implement the school’s behaviour management program within a Steiner education setting.

The role requires experience with developmental needs, learning styles, and social-emotional support, with emphasis on restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be experienced with the developmental stages and educational needs of children, including diverse learning styles and social-emotional needs in a Steiner Primary School.
• Experience with sensitivity to learning needs and trauma, and with restorative practices, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive environment for students and uphold high standards of student behaviour to support engagement in the Primary School learning program.
• Collaborate with Class Teachers and the Primary Coordinator to implement and continue the Primary School behaviour management program.
