Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a Support Teacher for Star of the Sea Primary School in Cleveland, Queensland. You will assist in planning, delivering and refining learning programs, using technology and targeted learning supports to benefit students.

You will monitor progress, implement evidence-based interventions for diverse learners and collaborate with specialists to coordinate intervention groups. The role is term-time, 17 hours per week, with hourly pay and superannuation.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering effective teaching programs.
• Ability to monitor student progress and apply interventions.
• Experience supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes.
• Collaborate with school specialists to coordinate intervention groups.
• Document observations and prepare classroom materials.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use of technology and learning support activities
• Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
