Job summary

Reddam House North Shore, part of the Inspired Education Group, seeks a dedicated Primary Mandarin Teacher to inspire young learners from Kindergarten to Year 6. You will design and deliver engaging Mandarin lessons aligned with the curriculum, foster language acquisition and cultural understanding, and support students to reach their linguistic potential in a supportive, inclusive environment.

This full-time, permanent role starts Term 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification with Mandarin specialization; NESA accreditation.
• Experience teaching Mandarin at primary level.
• Ability to engage diverse learners and manage classrooms effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mandarin lessons aligned with curriculum requirements and language learning outcomes.
• Create an immersive Mandarin learning environment that promotes language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Use storytelling, music, games, technology and creative activities to enhance learning.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom that encourages student participation and confidence.
• Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
• Support students’ academic, social and emotional development, promoting wellbeing and engagement.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support student learning and language development.
• Contribute to the wider school community through cultural events, extracurricular activities, professional development and school initiatives.
