Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant teaching qualification and be registered with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
• Experience teaching Japanese to primary school students is preferred.
• Ability to manage flexible classroom arrangements and ensure student safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Japanese lessons aligned with the SA Curriculum across Reception to Year 6.
• Manage smooth transitions between buildings and safely supervise students crossing the creek.
• Communicate proactively with year-level teachers and support staff to coordinate timetables.
• Use strong organisational and time management skills to ensure equitable instruction across classes.
• Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that supports student wellbeing.
• Contribute to the school community, including PLCs, whole-school events, and family engagement.
• Coordinate cultural experiences such as Japanese Cultural Day and sister-school activities.
• Support student progress through effective feedback, assessment, and reporting.
