Job summary

All 4 Mechanical in Canberra, ACT is expanding and inviting a skilled Paint Protection Film (PPF) Installer to join the workshop. You will prepare vehicles, install pre-cut and bulk PPF kits, trim edges, and ensure a premium finish on high-value cars.

We value strong vinyl wrap or tinting experience, high attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or in a small team. Training is provided for PPF patterns and plotting software; a background with luxury vehicles helps.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in vinyl wrap or window tinting, with an interest in moving into PPF.
• Strong attention to detail with high standards of finish.
• Good hand–eye coordination and carefulness around high-value vehicles.
• Reliable, professional, and with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces (washing, decontamination, polishing where required).
• Accurately install pre-cut and bulk Paint Protection Film kits on doors edges, sills, pillars and other high-impact areas.
• Full front and full body wraps where required.
• Trimming, tucking and finishing film edges to a high standard.
• Operate plotter and software to cut PPF patterns (training provided if needed).
• Inspecting work for defects (lifted edges, bubbles, stretch marks) and correcting as required.
• Working to timeframes while maintaining premium quality.
• Maintaining a clean, dust-free workspace and caring for tools and materials.
• Liaising with the team and, at times, with customers about job requirements.
• You’ll work on a mix of new, prestige, performance and enthusiast vehicles, where quality and attention to detail really matter.
