C&J Fabrications invites applications for a full-time Pressure Welder in Nowra, NSW. You will perform high‑quality pressure welding on pipes, tanks, and structural components, following Australian standards and engineering specs.

The role requires a trade qualification, 3+ years post‑trade experience, and the ability to read drawings. You will work safely in manufacturing environments and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification equivalent to Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade.
• Welding certifications are advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years post‑trade experience as a Pressure Welder.
• Experience in heavy fabrication/mining/oil & gas/industrial environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform pressure welding using MIG, TIG, FCAW, Stick, and other welding techniques.
• Weld pressure pipes, tanks, boilers, and structural steel components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
• Operate welding equipment and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct weld preparation, grinding, gouging, cutting, and finishing.
• Inspect completed welds for structural integrity and quality compliance.
• Perform welding in accordance with AS/NZS welding standards and site specifications.
• Maintain workshop safety and WHS compliance.
• Complete fabrication and repair work within project deadlines.
• Participate in shutdowns, maintenance projects, and site installations as required.
