You will review plans, prepare surfaces, cut and lay tiles, apply grout and waterproofing, and create mosaic patterns. The ideal candidate has a formal tiling certificate and at least three years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling is required.
• At least three years of experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler.
• Creativity and broad thinking.
• Ability to plan while performing duties.
• High physical stamina and good organisation.
• Substantial technical skills and precise workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, measure and mark surfaces for tile installation.
• Prepare walls and floors by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, and repairing holes and cracks.
• Apply adhesive, set tiles, and ensure correct alignment and spacing.
• Use tile-cutting tools to shape tiles for edges, corners and around fittings.
• Grout tiles and clean excess grout; apply waterproofing for durability.
• Lay floors using granolithic, terrazzo or cement materials and create mosaic patterns.
