Job summary

Industrial Services Victoria is seeking a qualified Metal Fabricator to join our team in Victoria. The role involves cutting, shaping and assembling metal components with a focus on precision and quality.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of metal fabrication experience, proficiency with welding techniques, reading technical drawings, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This full-time on-site position offers 38 hours per week and a salary of AU$79,000–AU$85,000 plus

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of metal fabrication experience.
• Proficient reading of technical drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and specifications for project requirements.
• Select and prepare metal stock for fabrication.
• Cut and shape metal with hand tools, torches and machines.
• Bend and shape sections, align parts for joining.
• Weld, bolt, and rivet components for strong assemblies.
• Inspect welds for quality and precision.
• Finish products with cleaning, polishing and coatings.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship.
