Job summary

Staff Australia is currently seeking motivated and reliable Assemblers and Production Assistants for immediate start in Somerville, VIC, to support a leading marine lighting and navigation aid manufacturer in a fast-paced production environment.

Hours include Summer 6:30am-2:30pm and standard hours from March 7:30am-3:30pm; you will be paid weekly and have the chance to develop valuable manufacturing and assembly skills with a supportive, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production is essential.
• Soldering and electronics assembly experience is highly regarded.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to attendance.
• Strong focus on workplace safety and safe work practices.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Available to commence at short notice and Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform functional testing and quality inspections on finished products.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate, set up, and monitor production equipment.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks.
• Maintain production targets while adhering to quality standards.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
