Job summary

WesTrac is seeking a Boilermaker/Welder to join our Perth Airport Precinct workshop, working on heavy mining equipment components and fabricated structures. This hands-on role rewards precision, safety, and quality in fabrication and welding.

You will fabricate, repair, and refurbish major mining machine components, interpret technical drawings, and apply FCAW/MIG/TIG welding. Experience with CAT mining equipment is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Boilermaker/Welder.
• High Risk Work Licence (Forklift, Dogging) or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair and refurbish major mining machine components.
• Fabricate transport stands for machine components.
• Perform Arc Air gouging and Flux Core welding.
