Job summary

Labelmakers Group is seeking a Pre-Press Operator/Esko Operator to join our Somerton VIC team. You will prepare art to production specifications, work with Adobe and Esko tools, and coordinate with the pre-press and production teams to ensure quality results.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality pre-press work including layout configuration and file merging
• Inspect final products for quality conformance
• Carry out basic maintenance of pre-press equipment
• Order and replenish consumables used in pre-press

About the opportunity:

We are now looking for a Pre-Press Operator/Esko Operator to join our business in Somerton VIC.

Reporting to the Pre-press Manager, you will be an integral member of the Pre-press team responsible for preparing art to suit production requirements.

• This is a full-time position 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Producing quality pre-press including digital image imposition, layout configuration, file merging and cropping, all the while considering production demands and machine constraints
• Inspecting final products to ensure quality conformance
• Basic maintaining of the pre-press equipment
• Order and replenish consumables uitilised in the pre-press process
• Interact well and maintain a positive relationship with all production functions.
• You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Ideally, minimum three years' experience working in a print or packaging manufacturing environment (preferred in a pre-press role).
• Experience using Adobe and Esko Software (Automation Engine, Artpro+, Packedge, Plato, Deskpack and ArtiosCad) will be advantageous
• Demonstrated planning and organisational skills.
• Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups.
• Able to work autonomously, manage priorities and are self-motivated.
• To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard - quality focus.
