You will join a 25-person team and be a key member of the leadership group, shaping the operation with a strong focus on compliance, HR, client services, and transition management.

The role emphasizes strong relationship management, contract oversight, and IT systems governance to ensure smooth service delivery and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Practice Manager in Financial Planning.
• Detailed knowledge of Financial Advice operations.
• Experience with every aspect of a practice.
• Strong managerial and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance and risk management requirements.
• Oversee HR including recruitment, training, and policies.
• Manage client services delivery with internal/external resources.
• Collaborate with directors on transition plans for new client books.
• Ensure contracts and legal documents (MDA, AR, consultant agreements) are in place.
• Oversee IT systems, hardware, and IT projects with suppliers.

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Practice Manager for a leading self licensed boutique practice in Sydney CBD. Based conveniently next to Wynyard train station this practice has a long established history of providing exceptional non aligned independent advice and has one of the very best reputations in the local market.

Working within a team of 25 your role will be integral to the day to day running of the business. You will be a crucial part of the leadership team and have a big say on the running of the practice.

Responsibilities of the Practice Manager

• To manage the compliance and risk management requirements of the business
• All human resources aspects of the business including recruitment, training and HR policies
• Management of client services delivery in cooperation with internal and external resources
• To work with directors in transition management of new client books including transition development plans
• To work with the directors to ensure that all contracts and other legal documents are in place including but not limited to MDA Contracts, Non discretionary accounts, AR Agreements and Consultant agreements.
• Have oversight of IT systems, Hardware and IT projects whilst working in conjunction of the relevant suppliers

The Person for the Practice Operations Manager role

• Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Practice Manager in Financial Planning
• Have detailed knowledge of Financial Advice operations
• Experience with every aspect of a practice
• Strong managerial skills and relationship skills
• Degree qualified would be preferred
• Be well presented and had a friendly demeanor
